So I love October and especially Halloween!!!! I believe I have more Halloween decorations than Christmas for outside the house! Here is a video I took last year to see what Trick - or - Treaters were greeted to as they came up my walk way! We have so many trick or treaters every year we run out of candy so I have what is called "the back-up candy" ;-) it is still good but it pays to be an early bird at the Combstead!
In the next few days I will be putting up the Halloween decorations again and in search of some new cool things... In the video you saw my talking headless man and my bubble fogger, yes it is a bubble machine that makes bubbles that turn into fog when they are popped! If you are a big Halloween Fan like I am this little machine is a must have!
Through the years I have had several different costumes as a child and an adult and I have been fortunate enough to have a AWESOME mother - in - law that sews like no other and she has made some phenomenal costumes for our daughter from genie to pirate and all were just so fantastic!
In honor of this most spooktakular month my new contest is about none other than HALLOWEEN!!!!! This is going to be run in conjunction with our facebook page and all the winners will be posted online.
The contest will run from October 4, 2011 to Saturday October 22nd at midnight.
It is a costume contest and I want to see pictures!!! These can be new or old pics from you now or you as a child and even pics of your children's costumes!!!
You may enter as many times as you like but each picture must be for a different category (meaning you cannot enter the same picture in two categories).
The categories are:
- Teenie Halloweenie - girls and boys (ages 6 and under)
- Schooling Spooks - girls and boys (ages 7 - 12)
- Terrorizing Teens - gals and guys (ages 13-19)
- Ghostly Grown-Up's - ladies & gentlemen (ages 20 and up) - how come being called a grown-up is so much more fun than being called an ADULT??? hahaha ok back on tack sorry!
- Freaks and Geeks (any age, freaky, scary, ghoulish or geeky costumes welcome male/female)
- Best Duo or Group (any age male/female costumes that go together as a couple or a group)
- I'm Wearing that Next Year (yep just like it sounds, male/female any age)
- Most Likely to get you Arrested (this one scares me to be honest, male/female any age - please keep in mind that I have to be careful what pictures are posted on facebook so if they are questionable I may not be able to post them directly on there)
- Best 5 min. Throw Together (most original, homemade, male/female any age)
There will one winner from each of the above 9 categories (in the event of a tie we will hold a tie breaker to be decided on the day of tallying the voting results)
Then there will be one overall Ultimate Spoilfield Wife Screamer winner, all entrants are eligible for this and it will be determined by the entrant with the most votes overall.
Each entrant photo is only eligible for one prize, i.e. if you win overall you will not also win a category, just trying to make this as fair as possible for everyone involved! ;-)
How to win???? The picture in each category with the most "likes" on facebook will be the winner in each category and the picture with the most "likes" overall is the the overall winner. This is really the best way to do it as you can only "like" a photo once and that way there is no one taking advantage of the voting ;-)
How to enter??? Please submit your photo to me at spoilfieldwife@cox.net in a jpg. format and also include your name, the entrants name (you need to be related to the person you are entering no random photos please) , age, and category you would like to enter. Please only one photo per email you can enter multiple photos but please send separate photos!

Oh I almost forgot what do you win??? Well each category winner will win a AWESOME Halloween Gift Box filled with all kinds of Halloween goodies and the overall winner is in for an AWESOME Gift (I promise it is in the works but you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!! I will have all prizes up and posted sometime tomorrow ;-)
