Sometimes you still just have to be a GIRL!

So working in a very male dominated field my PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) choices are very limited!  Mostly everything and I mean everything is geared towards men! Ugh! So very discouraging!

I have this hanging in my office and even my boss said today after he read it "love it" 

Now regarding steel toed boots or shoes my very first pair was Red Wings which in turn are really terrible for women, they are sized based on a mans foot which is no good for women who have to be on their feet all day! 

So after some searching and searching I found some great more feminine PPE.. here are just a few things ;-) 

One of my very favorite pairs of steel toes!  They are baby blue but they come in pink and Moxie Trades  carries a ton of ladies PPE gear...

Skechers also makes a AWESOME Work shoe with alloy toes which are super light weight, I have purchased two pairs..... and they have discontinued both of these styles but they have others you can find them at Skechers Work.

Just to end it on a funny this occured today in my shop and it is good to know the guys don't consider me the high maintenance one....

Over the intercom at my shop.... "Jeff line 1" a few moments later from Jeff via intercom "For your information I am not the shop forman" Kenny, again via the intercom "They asked for maintenance" jeff replying for all to hear on the intercom "I am not maintenance either" and Kenny as classic oilfield humor via intercom "well you are high maintenance" = intercom silence and roaring laughter out of the shop!!!!

This post came about after so many of you "liked" my fb post on my new boots ;-) just wanted to let you working ladies to know you can still be a girl even though you are surrounded by testosterone!
